Guest ceremony tickets

NOTICE: Please note that both Main Registration and Late Awardee Registration is now closed. The deadline for all graduands invited to register their attendance and purchase guest ceremony tickets and guest Faculty Reception passes has now passed. If you were unable to register your attendance due to extenuating circumstances, please complete this form as soon as possible.

Buy guest ceremony tickets for the Royal Albert Hall

Please use the Royal Albert Hall webpage link included in your confirmation email, after registering your attendance in step 1 of the registration process, to buy your guest ceremony tickets. 

For the Faculty of Engineering ceremony, graduands can initially buy up to two guest tickets for the ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall. For all other faculties, graduands can initially buy up to three guest tickets during registration. This is due to the larger number of graduands eligible to register for the Faculty of Engineering ceremony. 

Guest ceremony tickets cost £24.99 each, the booking fee is included. The deadline for ordering guest ceremony tickets is when registration closes, 13.00 (BST) on Wednesday 27 August 2025. 

We ask graduands to use the same email address as they used to register for graduation, so we can link e-tickets with a registered graduand.

Any e-tickets we cannot link to a registered graduand will be considered to be intentionally breaking the Terms and Conditions of the event and may be cancelled.

We also ask graduands to please double check the ceremony date and time to make sure they have bought the correct guest tickets at checkout. See above for reference.

If you require accessible seating for your guests, please book directly with the Box Office.

Please note, graduands are required to register their attendance for Commemoration Day 2025 but are not required to buy tickets for themselves. Graduands and guests sit separately in the ceremony. Please also note, guest ceremony tickets grant access to the ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall only. Faculty Reception passes are separate and can only be bought by following step 4 of registration for Commemoration Day 2025.

The Royal Albert Hall will email a confirmation email from no-reply@royalalberthall.com after guest tickets are bought, and they will send guest ceremony tickets approximately two weeks before the ceremony.

 

Additional tickets

Should any additional guest ceremony tickets be available after the registration deadline, the Graduation Events team will notify graduands of a resale via email after registration closes. Tickets will then be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

It is unlikely tickets will be available on the day of graduation, therefore should additional tickets become available, we encourage you to buy them during this additional release period.

Non accessible content

Due to the critical functionality of the form on this site, because it has following accessibility errors, we recommend our visitors who use assistive technology to contact us directly at graduation@imperial.ac.uk with their queries regarding their attendance.

The content that is not accessible on this website is outlined below:

-Form under the Register tab: first two fields of the form are list boxes, on which the user must choose

  1. field 1 “I would like to” user must choose what they would like to do (i.e. request a refund, change registered attendance etc)
  2. field 2 “graduation ceremony registered to” user must choose which graduation ceremony they are registered to.

However, although visible text precedes these list boxes, the text is not programmatically associated with the corresponding list box. Consequently, the list boxes do not have an accessible name. Site visitors who use assistive technologies may not be able to fill in this critical information.

-Form under the Register tab: Confirm and submit button, as a focusable element this button does not have a unique id value. Assistive technologies are likely to act only on the first and ignore the others. As a consequence, both functionality and accessibility can be degraded. We tested the page using NVDA and noticed that the button is recognised by this app.

Some documents and content are  exempt from the regulations (such as live video content and PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services), so we do not currently have any plans to make them accessible. But if you need to access information in one of these document types, you can contact us and ask for an alternative format.

WCAG 4.1.2 aria input field name – first two fields of the form under “register” tab does not have an accessible name. We plan to fix this by January 2024, and we have already contacted developer to seek solution.

WCAG 4.1.1 duplicate id active – “confirm and check out” button on the form does not have a unique id. Therefore, it may be ignored by some assistive technology. We plan to fix this by January 2024, and we have already contacted developer to seek solution.
