Refunds

Please use this request form to request a refund for any purchased guest ceremony tickets or Faculty Reception passes. Please allow up to 14 days for the refunds to be processed.

All refunds must be requested by 13.00 (BST) Monday 22 September 2025, as stated in the Terms & Conditions.

This statement applies to content published on imperial-college.idloom.events. It does not apply to content on any external website that we may feature links to.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • display of all content is optimised for all screen sizes
  • Skip to main content / home page links exist
  • Text resizing is possible
  • Colour contrasts meet the minimum requirement of 4.5:1
  • Video captions, transcriptions and audio descriptions are provided
  • Any content types or features that have been optimised to meet accessibility as best as possible, such as accordions, slideshow/carousels, tables and tabs.

Parts of this website are not fully accessible. For example:

  • some buttons are not correctly identified
  • some error messages are not clearly associated with form controls
  • many older documents in PDF format are not fully accessible

What we do about known issues

We work to achieve and maintain WCAG 2.1 AA standards, but it is not always possible for all our content to be accessible. Where content is not accessible, we will state a reason, warn users and offer alternatives.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Imperial College London Advancement department is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This website is partially compliant with the  Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1  AA standard, due to the known issues listed below.

Non accessible content

Due to the critical functionality of the form on this site, because it has following accessibility errors, we recommend our visitors who use assistive technology to contact us directly at graduation@imperial.ac.uk with their queries regarding their attendance.

The content that is not accessible on this website is outlined below:

-Form under the Register tab: first two fields of the form are list boxes, on which the user must choose

  1. field 1 “I would like to” user must choose what they would like to do (i.e. request a refund, change registered attendance etc)
  2. field 2 “graduation ceremony registered to” user must choose which graduation ceremony they are registered to.

However, although visible text precedes these list boxes, the text is not programmatically associated with the corresponding list box. Consequently, the list boxes do not have an accessible name. Site visitors who use assistive technologies may not be able to fill in this critical information.

-Form under the Register tab: Confirm and submit button, as a focusable element this button does not have a unique id value. Assistive technologies are likely to act only on the first and ignore the others. As a consequence, both functionality and accessibility can be degraded. We tested the page using NVDA and noticed that the button is recognised by this app.

Some documents and content are  exempt from the regulations (such as live video content and PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services), so we do not currently have any plans to make them accessible. But if you need to access information in one of these document types, you can contact us and ask for an alternative format.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

WCAG 4.1.1 duplicate id The form under Register tab. We plan to fix this by January 2024, and we have already contacted developer to seek solution.

WCAG 4.1.2 aria input field name – first two fields of the form under “register” tab does not have an accessible name. We plan to fix this by January 2024, and we have already contacted developer to seek solution.

WCAG 4.1.1 duplicate id active – “confirm and check out” button on the form does not have a unique id. Therefore, it may be ignored by some assistive technology. We plan to fix this by January 2024, and we have already contacted developer to seek solution.

How we test this website

This website was last tested for accessibility compliance on 3/1/2023, and these tests have been carried out internally. We used automated testing on home and Register pages. We used Accessibility insights for Web Google extension, and Wawe, as well as manual testing using NVDA.
