Faculty Receptions

This form is for graduands to register their attendance to the Faculty Receptions, and to buy guest passes. Faculty Receptions are held on the South Kensington Campus and these passes will not allow access to the ceremony in the Royal Albert Hall. You must complete this form to secure your complimentary place to your Faculty Reception. The deadline to register your attendance to your Faculty Reception is 13.00 (GMT) Friday 20 March 2026.

Non accessible content

Due to the critical functionality of the form on this site, because it has following accessibility errors, we recommend our visitors who use assistive technology to contact us directly at graduation@imperial.ac.uk with their queries regarding their attendance.

The content that is not accessible on this website is outlined below:

-Form under the Register tab: first two fields of the form are list boxes, on which the user must choose

  1. field 1 “I would like to” user must choose what they would like to do (i.e. request a refund, change registered attendance etc)
  2. field 2 “graduation ceremony registered to” user must choose which graduation ceremony they are registered to.

However, although visible text precedes these list boxes, the text is not programmatically associated with the corresponding list box. Consequently, the list boxes do not have an accessible name. Site visitors who use assistive technologies may not be able to fill in this critical information.

-Form under the Register tab: Confirm and submit button, as a focusable element this button does not have a unique id value. Assistive technologies are likely to act only on the first and ignore the others. As a consequence, both functionality and accessibility can be degraded. We tested the page using NVDA and noticed that the button is recognised by this app.

Some documents and content are  exempt from the regulations (such as live video content and PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services), so we do not currently have any plans to make them accessible. But if you need to access information in one of these document types, you can contact us and ask for an alternative format.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

WCAG 4.1.1 duplicate id The form under Register tab. We plan to fix this by January 2024, and we have already contacted developer to seek solution.

WCAG 4.1.2 aria input field name – first two fields of the form under “register” tab does not have an accessible name. We plan to fix this by January 2024, and we have already contacted developer to seek solution.

WCAG 4.1.1 duplicate id active – “confirm and check out” button on the form does not have a unique id. Therefore, it may be ignored by some assistive technology. We plan to fix this by January 2024, and we have already contacted developer to seek solution.
